Huntington Harbour Boat Parade
The 2009 Huntington Harbour Boat Parade was started in 1963 and encourages neighbors to decorate their homes and boats as a setting for the Huntington Harbor Cruise of Lights. The event attracts over 25,000 people who cruise our waterways and enjoy the holiday spirit in Huntington Harbour style. The Cruise of Lights is a family tradition for many that gladly paying the ticket price each year to have a fun cruise. The Cruise of Lights is our community’s main fund raising event in support of Orange County’s children’s music education and appreciation programs. The theme this year is “Rocking the Night Away” which is designed to spur the imagination of our boat and home owners to endless decorating possibilities. This season will truly be a celebration for all the harbor and community to experience!
The Philharmonic Society steps in where the educational system leaves off, providing high quality presentations to over 200,000 of Orange County's children each year. All Youth Programs are provided to our children free of charge due to the generosity of our volunteers and contributors. The Philharmonic Society Committees and staff create new adventures each year to help strengthen the minds and hearts of the children whose lives we enrich with our programs.
